Seminar at Lansdowne

A Seminar was held at Govt. P.G. College, Lansdowne (Hill Station) on "the Position of Women in India" on behalf of IRHA and The Youth Forum.

In the wonderful ambience of the College, situated in the pine-rich hills with breathtaking freshness, which was both cool and sunny, the Seminar started with a welcome speech by Dr. Sanjay Kumar, the head of the History Department, and the Principal, Dr. P.S. Nakhloga.

Shri Vinod Jain, President, IRHA, took the chair along with the Principal.

Among those present were: Ekta Singhwal, Amrit Rao, Rahul Jain

Faculty Members of various Departments

Students in large numbers (girls and boys, equally enthusiastic).

The students were very keen and responsive.

The importance of education for women, and the hurdles faced therein were highlighted.

The effort made by the teachers and the students spoke for itself.

The approach was very positive and assuring.
